After graduating from
Leicester University in 1979 with a B.Sc. honours degree
in Psychology, Stephen created a successful career with
a small number of UK companies including Courtaulds,
Raleigh and W H Smith. Stephen’s business focus was on
people at work inspiring motivation through a major
involvement in staff welfare and training.
After the millennium (2000) Stephen achieved a long held
ambition of working for himself, helping people to
improve their lives with hypnotherapy. Stephen runs his
busy private consultancy dedicated to Curative
Hypnotherapy, on a full time basis in Nottingham, close
to the Queens Medical Centre. He is an accredited member
of The Hypnotherapy Society - MHS (Acc) and a fellow of
The Curative Hypnotherapy Register - FCHR.
Stephen holds the highest qualification (Diploma) in
Curative Hypnotherapy which represents the culmination
of 5 years continuous study, recording the details of
treatments given and submitting them for the highest
levels of independent professional scrutiny. Stephen
achieved accredited status with the Hypnotherapy Society
in 2007 i.e. has demonstrated to the Society, not only
those criteria relevant to Registered Membership, but
has also at least five years professional practice under
supervision, and in addition, has evidenced professional
development suitable to the grade. This involved the
evidencing of Continuing Professional Development (CPD),
the production of detailed case studies and an
independent review of his practice.
This dedication and determination was driven solely by
Stephen’s personal motivation to ensure that all clients
receive the best treatment available.
Stephen is also an accredited Hypnotherapy Society
supervisor, SHS (Acc) and provides formal supervision to
other hypnotherapists who wish to progress their careers
and therapeutic skills. Stephen is also an accredited
member of the National Counselling Society.
